The appeals court has upheld the sentence of Reza Salmanzadeh

The appeals court has upheld the sentence of Reza Salmanzadeh, a pro-monarchy political prisoner and the father of Mehdi Salmanzadeh, who lost his life in the struggle for freedom.

Reza Salmanzadeh had previously been sentenced to seven years in prison and 74 lashes on charges related to the Evin Prison fire, including destruction of prison property, disturbing prison order, and defiance of orders. The confirmation of this verdict underscores the ongoing persecution of political prisoners under harsh and unjust rulings.
