Self-immolation of a father in Sistan and Baluchistan in protest of indifference towards him and his child

On Tuesday, September 10th, a father in Sistan and Baluchestan, after several unsuccessful attempts to enroll his child at a school in Mehreshahr, Zahedan, was repeatedly turned away without reason. Frustrated by the refusal, he went to the provincial Department of Education, seeking a meeting with the director. However, his requests were ignored.

Feeling desperate and neglected, the father poured gasoline over himself in the department’s building and attempted self-immolation in protest of the indifference shown to him and his child. This tragic event highlights the despair and frustration experienced by many citizens in similar situations.
