IRGC Announces Arrests for Alleged Spread of False Information Against the Regime
The public relations office of the Qazvin unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the arrest of several individuals accused of "spreading false information against the regime." According to the statement, IRGC intelligence forces in Qazvin, known as "Sahib al-Amr," identified and dismantled a network allegedly affiliated with "opposition and anti-revolutionary groups engaging in destructive activities against national security."
The announcement further noted that the operation was carried out in coordination with the IRGC intelligence unit in Isfahan. The detained individuals were accused of spreading false information and being affiliated with monarchist groups active across multiple provinces. Following judicial approval, the members of this network were apprehended and handed over to the judiciary.
More than two weeks after this announcement, no information has been disclosed about the identities of those arrested.
