Mina Khajavi was summoned to prison by the judicial authorities of the Islamic Republic last year, to serve her period of incarceration.

She was sentenced to "six years in prison" on charges of "engaging in illegal activities aimed at undermining national security."

The implementation of Mina Khajavi's imprisonment was delayed for a while due to severe injuries sustained in a car accident and a broken leg, the 60-year-old Christian convert has begun serving her sentence in Evin Prison.

Despite her ongoing difficulty in walking, she remains deprived of receiving adequate medical care.
