Maryam Mehrabi was released from Dolatabad Prison in Isfahan.

On Monday, November 4, Maryam Mehrabi, the sister of Mahmoud Mehrabi, a political prisoner sentenced to death, was released from Dolatabad Prison in Isfahan.

Previously, Ms. Mehrabi had been sentenced by the Isfahan Revolutionary Court to six years in prison, with five years enforceable. Later, four years and six months of her sentence were suspended, leading to her release yesterday.

Maryam Mehrabi was arrested by security forces in Isfahan this year. In mid-August, Branch 1 of the Isfahan Revolutionary Court sentenced her to six years in prison on charges of “propaganda against the regime” and “inciting people to violence and disorder with the intent to disrupt national security.” She was also given additional penalties, including a two-year ban from public service and a two-year travel ban.
