kokab Badaghi has been summoned to present her final defense.

Kokab Bedaghi Pegah, a labor activist for teachers in Khuzestan and a teacher in Izeh, has been summoned to Branch 13 of the Ahvaz Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office to present her final defense. She was previously tried alongside 11 other labor activists and, despite being acquitted, their case was sent back to the appellate court.

Initially, she was sentenced to a three-month suspension from duty, which was ultimately reduced to a one-month termination during the last school year.

In July 2024, Ms. Bedaghi Pegah was again sentenced to a four-month suspension by the Primary Violations Board and is now awaiting the final verdict.
