Kazem Alinejad Baranlou, a monarchist political prisoner held in Evin Prison, continues to be denied access to essential medical care despite his critical condition and urgent need for specialized treatment.
Baranlou is reportedly suffering from severe health issues, including the loss of function in three fingers, heart palpitations, and difficulty breathing. However, prison authorities have refused to transfer him to a hospital for proper care.
In September, he staged a self-immolation protest against the inhumane conditions in the prison. Baranlou, who was arrested in November 2023, has been sentenced to five years in prison by the Revolutionary Court. He has a history of arrests due to his political activism.
