Marzieh Adinezadeh, sister of the late Abolfazl Adinezadeh, announced her father’s release on social media.
Ms. Adinezadeh wrote: "Greetings to the honorable people of Iran. After 48 days, my father was finally released today from Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad."
Ali Adinezadeh had been arrested and transferred to Ghouchan prison following accusations of "spreading lies to disturb public opinion" and "propaganda against the regime."
Abolfazl Adinezadeh, a 17-year-old, was killed by direct shotgun fire from security forces during the Iranian national uprising.
