For the second consecutive day, contract workers at Phase 12 of South Pars Gas Refinery stopped work and staged a protest in the refinery yard and administrative building.

Their frustration boils over unpaid leave from the previous year—benefits they were promised but never received. In a sector that generates billions in revenue, workers say they're treated as disposable, forced to fight even for the most basic rights. This protest isn’t just about back pay—it’s a cry against chronic neglect, broken promises, and the widening gap between those who profit and those who keep the wheels turning.
